Portfolio of Works

The first time I explored the historical town of Fairhaven and Lynden I was captivated.  The quaint streets and charming buildings speak of a vibrant and robust history.  This series seeks to capture the history and preserve our past.

My love of animals and the extinction looming for so many,  propelled me to paint these magnificent creatures.

For years I have refused to paint landscapes, I felt they were so typical.  I then moved to the PNW and the beauty around me compelled me to paint it.  I just had to find my own voice to make the paintings reflect me and Gods creation. 

Included in this collection are my ever popular whimsical Ostriches.  They have developed through the years to include glasses, hats and now chairs...they are a never ending source of amusement. 

This series was inspired by an overcrowded, full to the roof, used book store in my home town.  The first painting was so inspiring and caused me to see book stores and libraries in a new way. This is an collection of work celebrating those cozy places we like to sit among the volumes of books and stories.

Challenged by my granddaughter...I created these whimsical interpretations of Llamas and Alpacas
